What Our Guarantee Covers

Our guarantee applies to all used shipping containers purchased from Reliable Containers. It covers any material or construction defect that affects the wind or watertight integrity of the unit.

1. Wind and Watertight Condition

All containers are tested to ensure there are no leaks or openings. Minor surface rust, scratches, or dents are common in used containers and do not affect performance. Any rust holes or thinning steel are professionally patched and sealed to prevent water entry.

2. Seals and Gaskets

Door seals are inspected to ensure they are intact and secure. When the doors are closed, no daylight should be visible from the inside. The retainer strips that hold the gaskets in place are also checked for stability.

3. Floor Integrity

The container floor is checked for structural soundness and safety. Floors may show minor wear or delamination but should not have holes, soft spots, or broken welds. Any issues are repaired with wood or steel plates as needed.

4. Functional Doors and Hardware

All doors are tested to open, close, and latch properly. Handles and locking rods may show signs of wear but must function fully. When properly placed on level ground, the doors should operate without excessive force.

Inspection and Delivery

When your container is delivered, you will inspect it with the driver before signing off. Together, you will complete a Quality Inspection Form confirming that the container meets Reliable Containers’ quality standards.This step ensures transparency and gives you the opportunity to verify that your container is wind and watertight, has intact seals and flooring, and fully functional doors and hardware.
